Positioned close to the historic Mill House, which is listed in the Domesday Book, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to a high standard, combining modern comfort with countryside charm. Sustainability is at the heart of the property, with heating provided by a river-sourced heat pump, electricity generated from solar panels, and fresh water supplied from a private well.

Inside the cottage

The cottage provides comfortable and welcoming accommodation for up to four guests. The open-plan living and dining area is the heart of the home, featuring a cosy log-burning stove, comfortable seating, and a dining space perfect for enjoying meals together.

The well-equipped kitchen includes modern fitted units and everything needed for a self-catered stay.

There are two spacious bedrooms, each furnished with twin single beds and ample storage space. Both bedrooms benefit from an en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath tub and over bath shower head. ensuring privacy and convenience for all guests.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Hyde Mill Cottage enjoys a peaceful riverside setting with private access to the banks of the River Dikler. Guests can relax beside the water and may even spot local wildlife, including kingfishers, dippers and water voles.

Wonderful walking routes begin right from the doorstep, with public footpaths passing the mill and leading through some of the Cotswolds' most stunning landscapes.

The owners keep Soay sheep in the surrounding fields, adding to the authentic rural atmosphere. During the fishing season (from 15th April), guests can enjoy trout and coarse fishing by arrangement.

A heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court are also available by prior arrangement, providing additional opportunities for relaxation and recreation during your stay.

Hyde Mill Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the Cotswolds. The picturesque villages of Lower Slaughter, Upper and Lower Swell, and Bourton-on-the-Water are all within easy walking distance and offer charming cafés, pubs and local amenities.

For families, Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway at Toddington are all within easy driving distance. Golf courses and horse-riding facilities can also be found nearby.

For everyday essentials, Stow-on-the-Wold is just two miles away and offers a Tesco supermarket alongside a variety of independent shops, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants.

The cottage is also ideally located for visiting some of the region's most popular attractions, including Kiftsgate Court Gardens, Hidcote Manor Garden, Sudeley Castle and Daylesford Organic Farm Shop, all within a 20-minute drive.

Further afield, Cheltenham Racecourse is approximately 30 minutes away, making the cottage an excellent choice for racegoers seeking a peaceful countryside base. Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Bicester Village and the historic city of Bath can all be reached within an hour, offering fantastic options for memorable day trips.
