The Kitchen

The stylish kitchen is well-equipped and provides everything you need to enjoy a comfortable self-catering stay. Beautifully finished with contemporary fittings and a lovely breakfast bar, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely morning coffee, a relaxed breakfast or a glass of wine while preparing dinner.

Whether you're cooking a delicious meal using local Cotswold produce from the village shop or simply enjoying a slow morning before heading out to explore, this thoughtfully designed space makes dining in a pleasure.

The Bathroom

Located on the lower floor, off the kitchen area is the beautifully finished bathroom offers a stylish and relaxing space to freshen up after a day out exploring. Thoughtfully designed to complement the rest of the cottage, it combines contemporary finishes with the same attention to detail found throughout the property.

The Living Room

Beautifully furnished with an incredibly comfortable sofa, this is the perfect place to put your feet up and unwind. Light the log burner on cooler evenings (Logs, kindling and fire lighters are provided between October-March) and settle in for a cosy night, or enjoy your favourite film on the Smart TV.

With its charming atmosphere and stylish interiors, the living room is a wonderful space to relax and enjoy some well-deserved downtime.

The Bedroom

Occupying the top floor of the cottage, the beautiful and spacious bedroom provides a peaceful sanctuary at the end of the day.

At its heart is a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed, perfect for sinking into after a busy day discovering the Cotswolds. The room has been thoughtfully styled to create a calm and restful atmosphere, with beautiful furnishings and plenty of wardrobe space to unpack and make yourself at home.

OUTSIDE THE COTTAGE

The Garden

To the front of the cottage, guests can enjoy their own private outdoor space, complete with a charming seating area and charcoal BBQ. It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely morning coffee, a little alfresco dining or simply relaxing and soaking up the peaceful surroundings. Overlooking leafy trees and the gentle stream that meanders through the pretty village of Blockley, this lovely outdoor space offers a tranquil setting in which to unwind.

The BBQ is available for use all year round, with charcoal provided from April to September.

Parking

There is parking in a car parking area for the cottage. Guests can park up to 2 cars in this area.

PLEASE NOTE- when guests arrive at the cottage and the car parking area there is a stone archway to drive under which would be too low for some vehicles such as LGVs. Height of arch is 2.1m high and 3m wide.

The Village of Blockley

Silk Cottage enjoys a wonderful position in the stunning village of Blockley, a quintessential Cotswold village full of charm, history and character.

Famous for its beautiful honey-coloured stone cottages, traditional architecture and peaceful village atmosphere, Blockley is a lovely place to explore on foot. Wander along its pretty lanes, admire the historic buildings and enjoy the surrounding rolling countryside.

Despite its peaceful setting, the village has some fantastic amenities right on your doorstep, including a welcoming village pub, a wonderful café, a local shop and a village park.

Blockley is also perfectly positioned for exploring some of the Cotswolds' most loved destinations, including Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold. From picturesque villages and independent boutiques to traditional country pubs, beautiful gardens and scenic walking routes, there is so much to discover nearby.

Whether you fancy a countryside walk, a leisurely lunch in a traditional pub or a day exploring the beautiful Cotswold towns and villages, Silk Cottage makes a wonderful base for your stay.
